Well, we are a little over a month in to the school year. Students and staff members are working hard to ensure credits are being earned and students are learning. Please remember that we are on Distance Learning at least until October 16. Our Governing Board will discuss if a potential return is possible. This will be following to most up to date input from the Governor and Solano County Public Health. Please check out the FSUSD Five Phase Continuum below in the Quick Access Link.

Great News! At the beginning of the year, Sem Yeto was offering 112 credits per year, which is 28 credits per quarter. This has changed. Students are now able to earn 120 credits per year, which is 30 credits per quarter. This means that students are able to earn twice as many credits than at a comprehensive site.

Food Distribution During Phase 1: Update/ Distribución de alimentos durante la Fase 1: Informe más reciente

Once per week students can receive a box of food that will contain five breakfasts and five lunches. The box will be free of charge for all FSUSD students. Starting on Thursday, September 10th, any FSUSD student can pick up a box on any following day from any one of the following locations from 7:00 AM and whenever we run out of boxes or 1:00 PM, whichever comes first. Student ID numbers will be required to receive a box and students can only receive one box per week. Students can not receive boxes from more than one location in the same week.**Meals are served at a different site each day throughout the week aside from weekends**

Campus WiFi Usage/Uso de WiFi en el campus

If your child is in need of internet access and have not received Wifi hotspot from the district, your child is able to come on campus to use the district wifi. Please ensure that your child checks in with the office and has a device.  Your child will be placed in a classroom with a campus monitor and expected to follow all district established COVID protocols.

My name is William R. Silas, I am the parent of a senior attending the Sam Yeto Satellite facility located at Armijo High School. I have some experience in working with school sites in assisting in creating an environment that can not only assist students in learning while on site but make them feel they are a part of the process. I look forward to working with the school administrators and the parents for the sake of the kids and honored to be a voice for the parents to remain a part of the process.

Welcome Back to School 2020-2021

Welcome back to school for the 2020-2021 school year. We started off the year on August 19, 2020 and shortly after, had to close due to the fires in Solano and Napa Counties. On August 24, 2020, we continued with 100% Distance Learning, which will be through October 16. FSUSD School Board will review the Distance Learning plan, along with Solano County Health, to determine if school can return to in person learning. Once a decision is made, communication will come from FSUSD. Thank you for all of your patience and continued support during this time.

What a year! There were some ups and some downs, but we were able to finish the year strong! On June 18th, we celebrated our graduating class with a Diploma Pick-Up. Although it was hot, the event was wonderful. Each student was able to take a picture with Mr. Hightower and their diploma. Once those pictures are available, you will receive information on how to get a copy.

Special Senior Edition

DIPLOMA PICK- UP INFORMATION:

Sem Yeto will be having a Diploma pick up and picture opportunity for our Sem Yeto Class of 2020 students! We are excited to celebrate the students and all of their accomplishments. We do have some important information to share in order to ensure we are following social distancing guidelines.

Both Diploma Pick Up events will take place on Thursday, June 18th, Sem Yeto at FHS will be from 9:00am-12:00pm. Sem Yeto at AHS will be from 1:00pm-4:00pm.

During the diploma pick up, we are asking for all participants to remain in their vehicle. Once it is your student's turn to take a picture and receive their diploma, your student will exit the car while all others remain in the vehicle. After the picture has been taken, your student will return to their vehicle and leave campus. We are asking that all individuals depart campus and do not group together.

Sem Yeto tendrá una oportunidad para recoger un Diploma y una imagen para nuestros estudiantes de la Clase Sem Yeto 2020! Estamos emocionados de celebrar a los estudiantes y todos sus logros. Tenemos cierta información importante para compartir para asegurarnos de que seguimos la distanciamiento social.

An email was sent last week regarding end of the year logistics. Here are the contents of the email:

In coordination with Fairfield High School, Armijo High School, and Rodriguez High School, schedules have been developed in order for students to drop off textbooks and library books, and pay any fines to the comprehensive campus students attended prior to coming to Sem Yeto.

If you attended Armijo High School prior to coming to Sem Yeto, have fees to pay and/or need to return a library book/textbook, your schedule is as follows:

June 8-June 12, 10am-2pm

Please be sure that you park in the main parking lot and walk through the main gate and go to the library, not the textbook room. To pay fees, please report to the Treasurer's office, located in the back of the main office.

INFORMACIÓN IMPORTANTE:

Si es un estudiante de último año o no planea regresar a la escuela Sem Yeto High School el próximo año escolar, por favor devuelva su Chromebook y cargador a la oficina principal en el Campus Sem Yeto al que asiste. PAL Update

We are also happy to announce that the PAL Food Pantry –by appointment, is open.  Any local student can make an appointment and get a box of food to take home through our contactless pick up.  We are very grateful to the Food Bank of Contra Costa and Solano for their support with this!
