January brought us many wonderful things. Sem Yeto had a total of 29 students get back on track for graduation and return to their respective comprehensive campus. We also had 17 early graduates. This shows that what we are doing at Sem Yeto is working and providing wonderful opportunity for our students who are behind in their credits. This is changing the lives of our students in Fairfield-Suisun Unified School District.
Enero nos trajo muchas cosas maravillosas. Sem Yeto tuvo un total de 29 estudiantes que volvieron a la escuela para graduarse y regresaran a sus respectivos campus completos. Tambien tuvimos 17 graduarse temprano. Esto muestra que lo que estamos haciendo en Sem Yeto esta funcionando y brindando una oportunidad maravillosa para nuestros estudiantes que estan atrasados en sus creditos. Esto esta cambiando la vida de nuestros estudiantes en el Distrito Escolar de Fairfield-Suisun.

Our basketball team has had three games and have worked together to show what Sem Yeto basketball skills look like. Unfortunately, the team is 0-3, but are looking forward to improving every day.
We had a senior from our AHS campus earn a Good Character Youth Award. He will be recognized on Friday, February 7th. Way to Go, Romeo O.
On Wednesday, February 5th, we held our Quarter 2 celebration for our students who made great academic and attendance achievement for the quarter!

On January 14th, we had another Pastries with Parents. We were able to meet with the Parent and Community Engagement Coordinator for the district and come up with some wonderful ideas to gain more family engagement opportunities. If you have any ideas, please contact Lily and/or Shamika with your ideas.
The next Pastries with Parents will be on Wednesday, February 12, from 7:45am-8:45am at our Sem Yeto at FHS site in room C-17.
El 14 de enero, tuvimos otro pasteles con los padres. For students, we have Solano Community College representatives on campus, Trades Program Speakers, many field trips, and opportunities for students to explore several careers in the area. Additionally, we have had and will continue to have representatives from the different military branches on campus.
Recently, several of our students took a field trip to Sonoma State University.

The Matt Garcia Foundation is looking for volunteers to help the last Saturday morning of each month from 9-11. This is to help clean up Downtown Fairfield. If you are interested in volunteering, meet by the Starbucks located on Jefferson Street.
On Thursday, February 6, Mr. Hightower and Mrs. Sherrod will be meeting with students to gather information about how to improve our campus.

Dear Sem Yeto Parents and/or Guardians - I wanted to let you know that the 2018-19, published in 2019-20, School Accountability Report Cards, otherwise known as SARCs, are available on our school website. They can be accessed by visiting the FSUSD.org website and selecting our school site under "Our Schools". The current SARC can be found by clicking on the School Report Card icon. Hard copies are also available at the school office upon request.
