What a year! There were some ups and some downs, but we were able to finish the year strong! On June 18th, we celebrated our graduating class with a Diploma Pick-Up. Although it was hot, the event was wonderful. Each student was able to take a picture with Mr. Hightower and their diploma. Once those pictures are available, you will receive information on how to get a copy.

Special Senior Edition

DIPLOMA PICK- UP INFORMATION:

Sem Yeto will be having a Diploma pick up and picture opportunity for our Sem Yeto Class of 2020 students! We are excited to celebrate the students and all of their accomplishments. We do have some important information to share in order to ensure we are following social distancing guidelines.

Both Diploma Pick Up events will take place on Thursday, June 18th, Sem Yeto at FHS will be from 9:00am-12:00pm. Sem Yeto at AHS will be from 1:00pm-4:00pm.

During the diploma pick up, we are asking for all participants to remain in their vehicle. Once it is your student's turn to take a picture and receive their diploma, your student will exit the car while all others remain in the vehicle. After the picture has been taken, your student will return to their vehicle and leave campus. We are asking that all individuals depart campus and do not group together.

***Important Reminders***:

Sem Yeto tendrá una oportunidad para recoger un Diploma y una imagen para nuestros estudiantes de la Clase Sem Yeto 2020! Estamos emocionados de celebrar a los estudiantes y todos sus logros. Tenemos cierta información importante para compartir para asegurarnos de que seguimos la distanciamiento social.

Ambos eventos de recoger un Diploma se llevarán a cabo el jueves 18 de junio, Sem Yeto en FHS será de 9:00am a 12:00pm. Sem Yeto en AHS será de 1:00pm. a 4:00pm.

Welcome to the final stretch of school. We are down to the last few weeks of school. Our students are working hard on earning their credits.

For our Seniors, the grading period ends June 5. 

Cap and Gown pick up: If you ordered a cap and gown, Sem Yeto staff will be in communication regarding pick up time and location. This should be during the week of June 8th.

An email was sent last week regarding end of the year logistics. Here are the contents of the email:

In coordination with Fairfield High School, Armijo High School, and Rodriguez High School, schedules have been developed in order for students to drop off textbooks and library books, and pay any fines to the comprehensive campus students attended prior to coming to Sem Yeto.

If you attended Armijo High School prior to coming to Sem Yeto, have fees to pay and/or need to return a library book/textbook, your schedule is as follows:

June 8-June 12, 10am-2pm

Please be sure that you park in the main parking lot and walk through the main gate and go to the library, not the textbook room. To pay fees, please report to the Treasurer's office, located in the back of the main office.

If you attended Fairfield High School prior to coming to Sem Yeto, have fees to pay and/or need to return a library book/textbook, your schedule is as follows:

PAL Update

We are also happy to announce that the PAL Food Pantry –by appointment, is open.  Any local student can make an appointment and get a box of food to take home through our contactless pick up.  We are very grateful to the Food Bank of Contra Costa and Solano for their support with this!

También nos complace anunciar que la despensa de alimentos PAL, con cita , está abierta. Cualquier estudiante local puede hacer una cita y obtener una caja de comida para llevar a casa a través de nuestra recogida sin contacto. March started strong. Students were off to a fantastic start; working hard to earn their credits. Unfortunately, the push forward stopped with COVID-19 and the shelter in place. Although we do not get to see our students each day, it is important that school continuess within a different capacity. Students are learning online through Google Classroom. Please encourage your student(s) to continue working their hardest. If they need support, have them reach out to any of our staff members.

Do you or your student(s) need support from a counselor? Community Outreach Liaison?  College and Career Advisor? Click here for information and ways they can support your family during these times.

FSUSD has breakfast and Lunch pick up from 11:00am-1:00pm at Suisun Elementary School, Fairview Elementary School, and Grange Middle School, Monday- Friday.

What's Happening On Campus?/Qué pasa en la escuela?

Quarter 3 came to an end on April 3rd. Sem Yeto is happy to announce 23 more students graduated. Congratulations to ALL!

Yearbooks are available for purchase. In order to have them printed, 50 yearbooks must be sold. Click here to order your copy today.

May 8th is the date that the Fairfield Suisun Unified School  District has set as the deadline for schools to submit plans for restructuring their school day schedules. By a school restructuring their school day, time can be added to allot for things like teacher collaboration and implementation of other school programs. Sem Yeto is in the process of reviewing its current school schedule and determining if the current school schedule will best serve our students. If the schedule is changed, information will be shared on the impacts of this decision with our families.

El 8 de mayo es la fecha que el Distrito Escolar de Fairfield Suisun ha establecido como la fecha límite para que las escuelas presenten planes para reestructurar sus horarios escolares. Al reestructurar la escuela su día escolar, se puede agregar tiempo para asignar cosas como la colaboración de los maestros y la implementación de otros programas escolares. ATTENTION PARENTS OF SEM YETO SENIORS:
Sem Yeto will be having a Senior Drive-Through to pick up Senior Signs. Each of our seniors will be getting a sign to display in their front yard, window, etc.  The Senior Drive-Through will be on Thursday, May 7th, from 11:00am-3:00pm, at your child's Sem Yeto campus.

Hello Parents and Guardians of Sem Yeto Students, My name is Lily Vera and I am a proud Sem Yeto parent leader. I understand times are difficult with the change to our everyday lives. I am experiencing situations that I have never been in before and know that you are all probably facing similar situations. Our children's lives have been dramatically impacted socially, emotionally, and academically. Please know that if there is anything you need, I am here to support you. The school has resources available to help provide students and their families with food, clothing, and other necessities to get through this difficult time.
